Ron Cameron
Re: Ron Cameron
Last week, Ron was playing cutesy about not eating indoors at Ram Horn’s. Not today.
Re: Ron Cameron
‘People bugging him with calls when he’s on the air.’ It would never occur to him to silence his phone.
Re: Ron Cameron
Rob! I only recently got your message, sorry, & tried to respond.

I knew Harvey Deutsch! Died much too soon.
Re: Ron Cameron
Rob, you have to know that Ron will not lift a finger to follow up on your request. He’s just got too much on his plate.

Willie Huber died over 30 years ago?! He died in June 2010.
Re: Ron Cameron
Ron clears up for us that the "Kennedy" in the front row of the '70s Match Game was NOT the president. Thanks for keeping us so well informed!
Re: Ron Cameron
Caller Pat, who works at a group home, tried in vain to tell Ron that he didn't have the radio on.
Re: Ron Cameron
Ron's really grasping at straws to find a guest. Relying on random 4-year old phone numbers he's found.
Re: Ron Cameron
Low-information caller Dave from Warren thinks Green Bay played Dallas in the first Super Bowl. Ron, always eager to correct others, says nothing.

Re: Ron Cameron
I talked to Ron a few hours ago. Brian Watson is tomorrow's guest I believe and Richie Adubato in a couple weeks. If I remember right Watson almost got taken off the air from the WDTK delay button...
Re: Ron Cameron
If Ron were capable of learning a lesson, you’d think this experience with finding an old number - although we can never be sure that a guest will follow through on a commitment to appear - would teach him that he needs a better system of keeping the numbers he gets. Like maybe also sharing them with Alex. Or whomever is his producer of the moment.
Re: Ron Cameron
Adjusted for inflation, Ron’s $50,000 income in the late ‘70s would be the equivalent of about $180,000 today. While his WXYZ ratings may well have warranted this, I'm still scratching my head. Especially after hearing the broadcasts from that era the seemingly Board-exiled wtfdetroit unearthed. Comparing him then to the present day, they don’t reflect to me any seriously diminished talent.
