This is just the first move on what will become an ongoing war on oil and coal. Say goodbye to our current state of energy independence and 2.20 a gallon gasoline.
New York and Chicago were all in with respect to their sanctuary status — until they were hit with the challenge of actually providing sanctuary. In other words, typical liberal hypocrisy.

We need to stimulate that military industrial complex! We voted to #BuildBackBetter #Together Gone are the days of not relying on the middle east. Gone are the days where the United States is crafting peace deals.

It boils down to a few things:

How you feel about the risk to the Ogallala Aquifer (hvge source of fresh water)
- the company's argument is basically "there are countless other risks, we wouldn't change the risk dynamic THAT much, wink"

How you feel about the domestic oil that would be in that pipeline (assuming you consider our partnership with Canada making it domestic), which requires more resources / greenhouse gases to process what comes out of the ground into a product that can be used like "regular" crude

How you feel about the jobs that Keystone XL was providing

This is a legitimate ideological fight - both sides have valid points behind their arguments.

For some background on why it is a big deal to the environment, just get into some of the details of the Enbridge spill in Talmadge Creek / Kalamazoo River right here in Michigan.

The Keystone XL pipeline - which is already under construction - has now been shelved indefinitely thanks to an E.O. from President Biden.

It’s a pipeline to ship out oil to overseas markets. It’s a stinker.

The U.S. crafted a couple of modest peace deals with a couple of bit playing countries. Yawn.

$2.20 gasoline isn’t going anywhere. Keystone XL has nothing to do with that.

Matt,

There is broad support from both corporations and from most Americans that expanding fossil fuel development is not a priority.

XL exists solely because the Republicans have been greased by an Alberta based oil company.

We also have Enbridge in Michigan. Hardly anyone likes that particular oil line except for the Snyder administration who received political donations to allow and expired permit and outdated pipeline to continue.

If any of this lost significant US jobs, it might be different. There aren't enough gains to fight the will of local citizens, many US companies, and a significant majority of Americans. Most of West Texas is shut down because there is too much oil production globally at the moment. Creating more oil isn't what we need or want.

If we had a production crisis, or this pipeline benefited the US in any way it might be a different argument.
For Kristian Trumpers are not serving our Lord Christ, but their own appetites. By smooth talk and flattery they deceive the minds of naive people.

If you still crave Trump’s dump for this country - go where he goes - back to his big gilded outhouse - with porn wife - and the rest of his chaotic circus of hypnotized hostages.

Me? I’ll roll up my sleeves and follow President Biden’s lead. Whatever he’s planning. Whatever he’s reversing. Because he’s good in soul and spirit. Not rotten to the root. Because he is trustworthy, tried-by-fire substance. Not showy, self-before-others slime.

I hope I survive this pandemic so I can see America awake from her Trumpian night terror - of unAmerican isolationism, presidential lies for power, and pro-Trump-press lying propaganda - for profit.

That may have been one of his stupid moves but the dumbest move of all was his alienation of his working class supporters by putting his anti-working class credentials on full display Day one.

TCT has gone emotional and is ignoring that the US is supposed a country that operates on laws, rules and fairness.

Once a project starts it is fundamentally unfair to halt construction unless shoddy construction can be proven.

Even Liberal Trudeau is upset.
