Not fond of this idea. Comics want to be funny, and Jeopardy's tight format doesn't allow any time for the host to go off on a riff. A comedian's talents are sort-of wasted on a quiz show.

You might think Ken talks fast, but I would submit that Ken's pace of speech is more similar to Alex's pace prior to his cancer diagnosis. Alex really slowed down in the last year due to age and his cancer treatments, which he stated publicly took a toll on his throat and voice. Compare older Alex episodes to his shows over the last year, and you'll notice in the recent shows that the players frequently don't "clear the board" of all the answers in each round. That's directly due to Alex slowing down.
Yes, Alex did talk fast and I'm sure his cancer caused his voice to slow down a little. His voice was very raspy towards the end.

This is why Steve Harvey and Wayne Brady would be bad fits for the show.

I heard that Mayim Bialik taped a few episodes, (makes sense somewhat, she has a PHD.)

I posted it as a joke. It was one of the last great skits on SNL though.

Just googled it. Here's an article listing her and a few other folks.
