Ron Cameron
Re: Ron Cameron
Ron will “never forget” the JFK story. And never stop telling it.
Re: Ron Cameron
I continued viewing the amount of comments regarding Cameron. This side was a voice of professional radio in Detroit. It has now become a "fan" site. Let me ask..."What would you do to better Detroit radio?"
Re: Ron Cameron
This thread (including the inadvertently deleted 80+ pages) has, effectively, been in existence since 2013, the same year you registered on this Board, and has reached well over 200 pages. After all these many years, after all these pages of mostly like-minded posts, why, respectively, are you only now raising your unauthorized editorial concerns?

Re: Ron Cameron
I stopped listening after Maurice called in the question for Ray. It doesn’t sound like I missed anything with Ron repeating the same stories and questions. No word on Matt though. He showed up one day and talked a lot and never to be heard from again.
Re: Ron Cameron
Ray defended Blake Griffin against Ron's attacks. Ron will always cite the likes of Ray to defend certain of his positions (‘Ray agrees with me that Wilt’s easily the greatest of all time’) but never mentions him when there is disagreement, as with Griffin & Isiah Thomas.
Perhaps Ron realized he couldn't afford to take Matt on & he would just have to live with the station-provided Martin. Maybe Alex knows.

Re: Ron Cameron
I noticed whenever he has a guest, he will back down on his criticisms but if it was a caller, he'd be screaming for Martin to hang up on him and then add its his show and he can talk about what he wants.
Phil Niekro passed away today, I'm sure Ron was close friends with him.

Re: Ron Cameron
Don’t know about any connection to Phil, but Ron has spoken often about his “friend” Joe Niekro, so we can expect to hear more of that from Ron. And for Kurt to once again butcher the name (& Ron to gleefully correct him). The MLB Network had a special last night on all the HOFers who died this year. They should have waited another week.

I really don't know the reasoning. I thought it was back on schedule since the initial resurfacing.Momo wrote: ↑Sun Dec 27, 2020 10:43 am Ray defended Blake Griffin against Ron's attacks. Re: Ron Cameron
Ron’s conducting job interviews for his imaginary restaurant.
Re: Ron Cameron
Ron’s AWOL callers must be nursing hangovers after last night’s NYE’s partying.
Re: Ron Cameron
Scoop “broke” the story about Miggy wanting to play for the Marlins?!
Re: Ron Cameron
My stream of today’s show was breaking up during the Mr. Positive call, but it sounded like Ron was bitching about some of the service he was receiving at his VIP indoor table at whatever restaurant he ate at recently (Ram’s Horn? this morning?). I sure hope RSizzle doesn’t run those wait people ragged with his demands during his comped big breakfasts!
Re: Ron Cameron
Tiresome Kurt devotes his call to the 1921 Series, but nary a word on the passing of Phil Niekro, who I believe began his long career that year. And clueless Ron thinks that Bob Prince was the Pittsburgh broadcaster then! Does anyone believe Ron’s story that, as a teenager, he approached Ty Cobb and talked to him for 10 minutes?!
Re: Ron Cameron
If he’s not reading box scores, Ron’s now going over the Pistons’s January schedule, game by game, to see if any wins are in the offing. This broadcast is definitely headed for the Radio HOF.
Re: Ron Cameron
Just two callers so far. Including the ever-trolling Mr. Positive. Will Ron get any of his other “7 callers” today?
