Tony Dungy is 65, not in his 70's
Re: Ron Cameron
Yes, that's not the first time he's said that.

Ron just said "Ram's Horn in Southdale"
Re: Ron Cameron
He must have meant Fernfield.

Re: Ron Cameron
The hot topic last year was Ron's knee issues and how the Red Wings team doctor was begging Ron to let him do the surgery on his knee replacement.
Re: Ron Cameron
I remember seeing Ron driving a beat-up Nissan Altima through a parking lot in Northville. The car looked like he had rear-ended another car, mostly likely while looking up stats in USA Today Sports Weekly.wtfdetroit wrote: ↑Sat Dec 19, 2020 11:20 amI'm hoping Mr Positive asks Ron what kind of car he drives. I'm going to guess Ron drives something from the 80's like an Oldsmobile eighty eight.

Re: Ron Cameron
Nobody knows if he's worth $1500 or $1.5 million. He reminds me of those stories where you read about someone who had recently died and lived like they were in the Great Depression all their life and have left behind $3.5 mil. Ron might be loaded.
Re: Ron Cameron
If Ron’s one of those types who’s hiding his fortune under his mattress, he’s got more to worry about than the hotel maid throwing out the phone numbers of all these elusive, future show guests.

I did find it very suspicious that we didn’t hear a peep about the status of his car issues since that was the main theme for Friday’s show. Even when the callers and emailer pressed him, he brushed it off and didn’t tell us exactly what was wrong with the car.

Re: Ron Cameron
Some observations from the show on Saturday: Ron was extremely dramatic in explaining Ray Scotts absence from the show. "Ray our expected guest--------IS IN THE HOSPITAL----implying in the beginning of his pronouncement that Ray was struck with the Covid. Caller Keith has to be the most polite caller and the stooge from Warren that insults the buzzboard has a personality of a brick. The buzzboard enjoys Mr. Positive. What is the status of Matt? That was never specific explaining in regards to that. Why would Matt want to come back if Ron is implying that the show might go by the wayside because of the lack of advertisers. Ron clearly does not keep up with sports today, his lack of knowledge on current events is surprising and that can be blamed on his stubborness keep doing things like he did 40-50 years ago. Anyhow, Merry Christmas Gents!
Re: Ron Cameron
Your post is right on Mr.Transistor.I began listening to Ron's show because of the buzznoard. I enjoyed the show at first because I am in my late 60s and it was nice to hear talk of the past. That soon wore off.Ron knows very little of the cutrent sports scene
He is a bumbling oaf.Kurt is boring as hell.Mr.Positive and Martin are the only bright spots on that show.

Throughout this horrible year, his vast multi-generational audience - from the sandy beaches of Southdale to the snowy banks of Fernfield - could at least look forward to gathering around the Victrola to listen to Ron's Christmas spectacular. Ron's annual signature sign-off, where he leads the Ron Cameron Singers in a moving rendition of "Away in a Manger," has captivated his adoring fans for 50 years running, but will now have to be deferred until next year.
Re: Ron Cameron
Unlike so many great traditions waylaid by “The Cova” , I’m pretty sure Ron’s “Christmas Spectacular” isn’t gonna air this year because Ron’s gotta hot date at the hotel with “Match Game” and “What’s My Line” re-runs featuring all those deceased celebrities of yesteryear.Momo wrote: ↑Mon Dec 21, 2020 8:53 pm Throughout this horrible year, his vast multi-generational audience - from the sandy beaches of Southdale to the snowy banks of Fernfield - could at least look forward to gathering around the Victrola to listen to Ron's Christmas spectacular.
