No. We have to wait and see who wins the election. Now is not the time to be making any rash changes to the court until the voters weigh in.

Bunch of Machiavellian fucks... Republicans will literally stop at nothing as long as the ends justify the means. At a certain point this will come back to bite you.
Its not the same, not even close. I've advocated for waiting until Trump wins, but who knows what they'll do? If I was a betting man, I'd bet on an Amy Coney Barrett nomination next week. Are the dems going to fight against a woman? That would be soooooo sexist, right?
What exactly is so different?
It's not different at all. They have no soul or sense of decency. They know it's wrong. Everybody knows it's wrong. But like tRump, they really don't care about the constitution or what this country was founded on. They care about their agenda.

This country died the day trump was elected.

The million dollar question is, are there enough wishy-washy Republicans to block it?
One less will be needed if AZ's Mark Kelly wins and the Senate confirmation vote is after Nov. 30th. Current GOP Senator Martha McSally gained the seat by appointment, Kelly will have gained office by election and can be sworn in after the election is certified. No requirement to wait until Jan. 3rd.

I fully expect the next Supreme Court Justice will be voted on by the end of the first week of October and Mitch out on his ass by the end of the first week of November. McGrath's donation page crashed tonight.

Why did you even come back here? Your reading comprehension continues to be piss poor, like when you suggested I was rude to TT.

I did not celebrate her death like many on the left did when her dear friend Justice Scalia unexpectedly passed. I’ve also suggested that President Trump should wait until the election to nominate the successor. The other issue is that RBG clearly was in no position to continue her duties for quite some time, so she probably should have retired months, if not years ago.

Do you really think all of those out of state donations are going to drastically impact the votes of G G and his fellow Kentuckians?

Its worth noting that as of this reply, only those of us on the right have really said kind words about RBG in this thread: UP906, bmw, zzand, and myself. Also, please see RT's response for the EXACT reason I preemptively posted my original post. Lastly, re-read the post where I advocated for waiting until after the election.

Leo said some nice things too:

Leonard Leo, co-chairman of the conservative Federalist Society, who is widely credited with helping Trump push through his judicial nominations, said in a statement that Ginsburg “selflessly dedicated much of her professional life to serving the country.” “She, her family and many who knew her well are in my thoughts and prayers,” Leo said.

True. My guess is they simply left "work" at "work".

You'll notice most true conservatives are respectful.

bmw wrote: Fri Sep 18, 2020 8:49 pm I thought she should have retired about a year ago, and certainly after news not that long ago that she was literally participating in the judicial process from her hospital bed.

Anyways, Trump has more than 6 weeks. Even if he loses the election, he's still President until January 20th. That means he has 4 months, not 6 weeks.

VERY interesting scenario is if he waits until after the election, then loses to Biden, then decides to end his Presidency not by refusing to leave, but rather by nominating a conservative during his lame duck weeks. Talk about ending your Presidency with a bang.
I was thinking the same thing could happen.

I do not live or own land in Kentucky, and I have never said as such, so as I live rent-free in your mind, please keep the territory I occupy straight?

But since I can see the libs have you riled up (again) son, let me give you a few words of advice. I think you can use them.

People don't come to internet forums, and certainly not this one, to engage in earnest discussion. They come here for their own personal amusement. You come here for your own personal amusement. How that is defined depends on the individual, but time and time again, I observe you getting outright angered with the libs when they call you out for how you respond to events or the things they say, or even how they say them. You don't need to give a summary of your feelings, they don't care and when you do it, then it just gives the appearance that you can be manipulated.

What I am trying to say here, is that you can't control how people use this website. When you try to appear as though you are "taking the high road", or behave like a petulent child because people use the site in ways you don't like, when there are users who wield multiple accounts, when there are tools that can help you avoid reading posts from users you cannot handle reading posts from, all you are doing is encouraging the people you do not like to post more, because they are posting to encourage that exact reaction.

This isn't the family dinner table. It's a public restroom stall, and whatever you write on the wall won't change anyone's mind, at most it will amuse them. So, like in this post I am quoting, you are interested in defending your position, this amuses the libs. They are not engaging in earnest discussion. The whole thing is just an exercise in posturing.

Let's calm down and not care so much what these people have to say. You aren't required to defend your positions here. Frankly, they don't seem to care beyond getting you wound up.
Donald Trump was and is the best president this country has ever had. And he will return to glory as our leader again.

If you study NDE’s worldwide - all ages, religions, cultures - a deceased family member welcoming the newly crossed-over soul is a common report.

I hope when RBG crossed over she was met by her husband. She had missed him terribly over the many years since his death from cancer. They were a devoted couple and were both great parents. In fact - I hope all her grieving family members are comforted by the thought of Justice Ginsberg reuniting with all her long departed loved ones again.

I suspect God is even MORE merciful than what we’ve been told here on earth. God’s thoughts are above our thoughts.
