You remember that time when silly, old Sinclair Broadcasting (25-66’s parent company) lies to the FCC in an attempt to gobble up Tribune Broadcasting? Well, that just cost SBG another $25-million dollars.
https://www.baltimoresun.com/business/b ... story.html
SBG fumbled its takeover of regional sports networks like Fox Sports Detroit, which during a pandemic with limited sports, has drained even more money. Advertisers aren’t buying commercials, especially in an economically depressed market like Flint. The new GM inherited a station in turmoil with ineffective management hired by the former accountant in chief/egomaniac which resulted in massive turnover, layoffs, hiring freezes, and salary wage freezes. The promotions Director AKA the “ASSistant GM”, the In Over Her Head News Director, the Director of Declining Sales, and the HR Director/Grilled Cheese Party Planner are all kissing the new GM’s butt, hoping to save theirs despite declining revenue, declining ratings, declining morale.
And with Biden-Harris likely to win in November, you can bet that a new FCC will force Sinclair to sell off stations in markets like Flint where SBG is using these fake Joint Sales Agreements/Shared Service Agreements. 2020 is just going to get worse for our corporate overlords!

25-66’s bad year to get worse
Re: 25-66’s bad year to get worse
I doubt that even with a new FCC they will do nothing to Sinclair or the shell games which Obama's FCC-approved Sinclair's shells from 2009-16. And your way of thinking this wouldn't just be a Sinclair issue as many TV station owners use SSA Nexstar has SSA's in Lansing which Sinclair did an SSA with Media General for ABC53 & CW combo as Sinclair didn't want to be in Lansing they just wanted WWMT. Sinclair paid a lot for that failed Tribune merger with over $100Million fine $60 Million to Nexstar and selling a TV station to them and settling a lawsuit this past week along with that $48Million fine by the FCC which Sinclair doesn't like Pai very much.
I see nothing happening if the FCC is Dem controlled next year since Sinclair settled with the FCC already which would be a witch hunt if the FCC looked into Sinclair again.
