Hydroxychloroquine lowers death rate by 50%. Shame that the governor didn't have open mind more lives could have been truly saved.

This is good, but I hope people don't buy into the hype thinking this will prevent them from getting infected in the first place. There's a lot of immunocompromised people who need hydroxychloroquine and we don't need another shortage of it again.

Just leaving this here to remind those of you who like to complain that it's not Whitmer, it's your kids. There are several photos that show it worse than this.

BTW, 90+ % of visitors to the sandbar are from downstate and will be returning home with COVID this week. Grand Traverse county has one of the lowest rates in the nation...

Exactly. However, older people are also at fault, according to the study I linked above.

There are plenty of Baby Boomers in that photo. When the sheriff handed out tickets a few years ago the ages range from 14 to 73.

90% will not be returning with Covid. That comment is just silly.

I agree, 90% are visitors. And some will be returning home with COVID.

Stopped into a northern Michigan Walmart over the weekend. A good 80% of the shoppers were going mask free. Except in the check-out lines, few were practicing social distancing.
New York and Chicago were all in with respect to their sanctuary status — until they were hit with the challenge of actually providing sanctuary. In other words, typical liberal hypocrisy.

That fits the demographics correctly.

Can you name of one instance where a "COVID party" has happened in the state of Michigan? Because this is news to me.

It was Gen-Z and millennials who were packed in like sardines at those bars in East Lansing and Royal Oak. Both businesses should be fined harshly for clearly ignoring capacity limitations.
Don't forget that there's still some older people who are far-right Trump supporters who still believe that the virus is a hoax, that wearing masks is something the government is using to put us in line and that they shouldn't have to wear one, and that they think social distancing is military protocol that they're using to order us around. They exist. And that's why you can't blame the spread on any one demographic. They're all for blame here.

Additionally, I recommend you both look at this article about a study conducted by the BBC about which demographics are contributing to the spread and how: https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfr ... estaurants

Here's one important excerpt from that:
What we have found in this data is that adults aged 20-50 make most of their contacts in workplaces. If those of us who can work remotely start doing so now, it will contribute to lowering overall transmission in the population. Another important finding is that people over 65 – who are particularly at risk from severe Covid-19 illness – make over half of their contacts in other settings (not home, school or work), such as shops, restaurants and leisure centres.
I don't know anywhere in Michigan about COVID parties other than hearing about it from Alabama.

Yeah it's only ever happened in Alabama. If it was anywhere else, I'm positive we would have heard about it.

Most people in Northern Michigan tend to be Republicans and republicans tend to not like masks at the present time. So it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that walking into a Walmart up there would yield a lack of masks.
