I don't know why they still insist on the "Special Edition" of Local 4 news at 11:35. They rehash Covid-19 and now the unrest in America ad nauseum in the 11pm newscast.

I do agree that the "special" 11:35 to Midnight news segment is a bit of an overkill. Like SteveS said, just a rehash of what was said at 11. I wonder how many are watching it, and how many are skipping it, and seeing what Kimmel and Colbert are saying. Maybe the next poll by Rate This may show that.

I was curious about the same earlier today and checked the WNBC website which shows Jimmy at 11:35.

Sinclair owned 7&4 in Northern Michigan airs the Tonight Show at 11:35.

It looks like the 11:35 special edition of Local 4 news has finally been discontinued according to the TitanTV listings found on the Local 4 website. Other listings still show the special edition but I have found the TitanTV listings on their website to be accurate.
