Re: Ron Cameron
I bet Ron is using the time of sports standing still, to start writing his book with Ted Kulfan. 50 years in Detroit sports! It's a perfect time to get those creative juices going, Ted and Ron have nothing to do. Some collaboration between the two of them and we should have a must read book for Detroit sports fans! I am hoping it's available to purchase on Amazon and underneath the Christmas tree in December.
I'm guessing it's nothing more than a pipe dream

Re: Ron Cameron
Ron is so plugged in to world currents, that I wouldn't be surprised if he held off on the book until this pandemic recedes. He wouldn't want his big book launch affected by all this.
Re: Ron Cameron
I've been hoping the same thing. He's always saying that he's got the inside dirt on different people (like Jim Price and Frank Beckmann), and this might be how he'll expose it.Mr.Transistor wrote: ↑Sun Apr 19, 2020 11:18 amI bet Ron is using the time of sports standing still, to start writing his book with Ted Kulfan. 50 years in Detroit sports! Re: Ron Cameron
Ron's too undisciplined to ever have had an unuttered thought, so the idea that he's held his tongue is preposterous.
Re: Ron Cameron
He just talks alot of trash to get people riled up. Never will be a book or an airing of all inside info because he airs out what he knows already

Re: Ron Cameron
If “having the inside dirt” means he is frustrated by having been left in the dust decades ago by both Price and Beckmann, then I concur.
Neither of those talents belongs on a Mt. Rushmore of Detroit sports broadcasters, but they make Ron a custodian at that National Park.

Re: Ron Cameron
He has the "dirt" on people that have been irrelevant for 30 years.
Re: Ron Cameron
Jim Price is still relevant in that he works for the Tigers but we all know he's a clown. No "dirt" there
Re: Ron Cameron
What, no Friday update on Ron Cameron?

Re: Ron Cameron
I checked yesterday. He wasn't on and I don't see any ad revenue sources anytime soon for restaurants. Maybe he can get a grocery store to advertise.
Re: Ron Cameron
If Ron only knew, The People are out here wondering what’s up with SportsTalk! Radio Comfort Food during COVID-19! Kinda was wondering if “USA Today Sports Weekly” is still publishing, that was always Ron’s go-to for “up-to-date” sports stories, stats and scores.
Re: Ron Cameron
When not working tiredlessly on his memoirs, Ron is combing through his newly-issued Yellow Pages.
Re: Ron Cameron
Weekly SportsTalk update: no surprise, no Friday morning show for Ron.
Re: Ron Cameron
Yeah, I was so primed to issue a Mayday pronouncement!

So what's everyone's guess when he'll be back? I'm going to say July.
