Ron Cameron
Re: Ron Cameron
I wonder how long it'll take Ron to realize that.

Re: Ron Cameron
So I would assume Ron will be on 1460 this weekend due to the restaurants closing. Unless the Patriot will allow him to take a dump in their commode?
Re: Ron Cameron
Friday, from 11-1 seems a given on 1460. He keeps talking about a 2-4 Saturday shift on the station if Louie’s Pizzeria didn’t work out. Since that remote location’s not an option right now, he should be on 1460 on Saturday, too. Maybe we’ll even get to hear from Mr. Positive, whose voice is so sorely needed in these troubled times.
Ron’s long-promised announcement about his new restaurant will now have to be deferred. How long has he been promoting word about a new restaurant?! Since his last restaurant venture went nowhere. Does anyone remember where that was? I’m thinking it was the former yogurt place he took over on Haggerty in West Bloomfield, across from Meijer

Re: Ron Cameron
Aren't all of Ron's advertisers restaurants? He won't have any ads anymore. This could spell the end of Ronnie C.
Re: Ron Cameron
I would hope that those restaurants that didn't offer take-outs in the past would be doing so now.

Re: Ron Cameron
Too bad Ron never got started on that book- 50 years in the Detroit sports biz with Ted Kulfan. It would have been something to fall back on. But it goes with that restaurant that he said he was opening anyday now........lol. Yeah I don't see any restaurant ads happening anymore. I think he'll have to try to get more along the pooper scooper ads.
Re: Ron Cameron
There was a time where Ron had tapped into marijuana dispensaries and tattoo parlors for his ads. Somehow, I thought those just happened to be storefronts located around where Ron was “staying” at the time. Ron likes the restaurant ads, cuz that’s how he kept himself fed, not exactly sure what he got by stumbling through ads about weed and body ink!

Re: Ron Cameron
The thing is without sports, Ron can still do the show because all he talks about is the past.
Re: Ron Cameron
He’s on! And no Saturday show for now. And he’s giving up on a return to WDTK, while not mentioning the restaurant option is foreclosed right now.
Re: Ron Cameron
I think Ron’s under the impression that a positive Coronavirus diagnosis is tantamount to a death sentence.
Re: Ron Cameron
His first ad now - 35 minutes in - for Louie’s Pizzeria, which he “believes” is open for take-outs & deliveries. Followed by an ad for a shoe store in Birmingham. And his reason now for leaving WDTK is all the Wayne State “crap.” Talk about rewriting history. Yet he’s stiil talking about doing another test at Louie’s.
Re: Ron Cameron
Is it possible to be as obtuse as Ron?! Matt said that if baseball returns on Memorial Day at least we’ll have a warm opening day. Ron, of course, questioned Matt’s statement, then uttered one of the dumbest things I’ve ever heard him say (which is saying something). “When is that? I don’t follow those things.”
Re: Ron Cameron
Now he’s talking about someone else telling him that he idolized him. For his work umpiring Catholic high school games.

Re: Ron Cameron
I listened to a bit of it but had to shut it off especially with the lack of callers. He is under some weird belief that the restaurants will all be back to normal in 2-3 weeks and he'll get his advertisers back. I love how he rips the Patriot but he still might be on Sundays. What a train wreck.

Re: Ron Cameron
I was able to listen to it for awhile today and this thing is beyond trainwreck. He doesn't have Alex to set him straight anymore, he has absolutely no respect for his producer Matt, and has zero guests. I don't know why Matt continues to saddle his horse with Ron unless to serve some kind of penance or he has been served with some kind of community service via the penal system or perhaps he's a masochist. Listening to Ron bitch about this and that, telling stories about how someone idolizing him, his whole shtick has grown old. When is someone going to tell him that Eli and Bob have stated - especially Eli that they would never want him on their No Filter podcast because Eli can't stand Ron and thinks he's a blowhard- (so does Bob). This piece of information should be followed up with a caller asking him why he's not in the Michigan Broadcasters Hall of Fame. That would make for a HOF trainwreck show.
