Re: Songs With Trains Mentioned
8:05 is an amazingly mellow song by Moby Grape. I guess the name refers to the time a train arrives or leaves at a station.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ioKodbNTljg
WTRX was the first and one of the few stations to play it when it was released, and a month or more before it was played in California. Maybe Colonel Flagg or John Landecker knows if that was what they called the train that shook the studios. I remember Wally Kennedy or Dave Barber calling it by the time, to explain the noise listeners were hearing but I can't remember if it was the 8:05.
I wonder if Moby Grape ever met Sponge Bob Square Pants? If you don't understand this, look up the origin of the name Moby Grape.

Rock Island by The Music Man Cast from the Broadway Show and The Movie. The setting is on a train, and the music mimics the train, acceleration and deceleration, etc.

Crazy Train - Ozzy Osbourne
Downtown Train - Tom Waits, Rod Stewart, Bob Seger, Patty Smyth
Train Kept a-Rollin' - Johnny Burnette, The Yardbirds, Aerosmith
Performers of that last one tend to mash the lyrics a bit to suit themselves...
