I have to agree. Many believe that the top teams are cheating somehow. Theories vary from "supplement" related physical enhancement that can't be detected, to paying the "students" to play rather than join professional teams early. Each theory is plausible. Look at all the coverups in sports and sports related programs. We're supposed to believe that none are doing anything illegal or borderline illegal? I disagree that this is promulgated by whiny Michigan fans who almost never win the Bowls.

Too early to say. Historically these things are cyclical.
In the not overly distant past USC, Texas, Nebraska,Penn State, Miami (Florida) Florida, just to name a few were powerhouses.

.The talent on display is breathtaking. In a vacuum, if you simply want to see the highest-level football possible, then you’re set
They may be the best of college but they couldn't beat the worst NFL team's.....maybe 1 time in a 100.

So you think the 0-16 Lions would have destroyed LSU?craig11152 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 18, 2020 11:50 am.The talent on display is breathtaking. In a vacuum, if you simply want to see the highest-level football possible, then you’re set

Yes the 0-16 Lions would win. Maybe not destroy but certainly not close....24-10 sort of thing.
No matter how bad the Lions were by NFL standards they had an entire roster good enough to make the NFL.
LSU might have 5 or 6 who will make it in the NFL. They went undefeated beating a bunch of teams who had 0-5 guys good enough to make it in the NFL.

LSU could beat the Bengals, and maybe the Lions because they’re the Lions. The other NFL teams, probably not.
