WNEM doesn't have anything in their budget for a Christmas concert or Mike Terry's Christmas Lights special. There will be a Holiday Log special though.

Once again, HL101 attacks his former employer. Shocking!

25’s Christmas concert was free for all these years. Now the station wants to profit off the holidays. Merry Christmas to Flint! Any way to make a buck

I thought it was a good show, but I have a problem with the station making money by charging residents to attend the concert. The Capitol Theater had to pay 25-66 to broadcast the concert, for the air tine, for the commercials they ran, for Harris and company’s time... then 25-66 goes out and sells sponsorships to Elga Credit Union. It’s a money grab by the station gift wrapped with holiday music performed by kids.

Bill is just riding out his contract not trying to make waves. Watch for him to leave at the end of the year. He sees the writing on the wall with the recent staff departures in news. The only thing keeping him there is his son Chris who is the Assistant Chief Engineer (but really runs the place from a technology standpoint). The News Director worships the ground that Bill walks on, so he’s had it pretty good up to this point. But Bill sees through the smoke screen being put up from the corner office and is ready to bolt in time for the new year.

I find it funny that Joel has been posting stories and photos fro MLive and about his buddies at WJRT — but crickets about his last employer, WEYI. The station may have framed it as an amicable departure, but it’s clear Joel was glad to leave 25-66.

The GM prefers it that way. Lose good people with experience and contacts so he can hire newbies that will make a fraction of Joel’s salary.

Let Femi go and replace what was a dual anchor team with a solo anchor = even more savings.

You would have to think that the GM has to be getting close to making that big year end bonus for cutting costs by now!

And the GM “gives away” some FOX network swag/crap from shows that were cancelled several seasons ago. Nothings says “thank you for your service” like Scream Queens, Melrose Place, and Prison Break.
