Why Try and Ban Guns, Plastic Bags, and Vapes?
Why Try and Ban Guns, Plastic Bags, and Vapes?
What is banning gonna do? After all, they are all inanimate objects. Those things themselves don't do anything on their own and requires a user.
1. Guns don't kill people, people kill people.
2. Plastic bags don't pollute our waterways, people do by not disposing of them properly.
3. Vaping pens don't make people sick, people make themselves sick by choosing to use them.
Personally I think the government has more important things to deal with rather than petty things like this.

Of course the "government healthcare for all" is trying to take away my rights to healthcare as I choose. I would forced into one government system and my healthcare taxes would also to to pay for people who want to use drugs. If you want to use non-prescribed drugs after period of rehabilitation, should you persist, then you should dropped from all healthcare plans (especially government ones). That is being responsible for your actions too.
I do believe government has a right to restrict sale of certain items through civil, but not criminal means. That doesn't mean you couldn't make it yourself and use it on your own property. Want to use fertilizer to quickly remove stumps on your property, knock yourself out.

Ask not what your country can do FOR you; ask what they are about to do TO YOU!!

And why ban toxic chemicals like PCBs and pesticides like DDT? They don't kill anybody. It's just the people who use them.
Why ban weapons grade anthrax? It doesn't kill. It's the people who disseminate that are the real killers.
A land mine has never killed anyone. Blame the people who set it.
The nanny state has just gone too far.

Soon we will have no choices, no say in what we do or say. I don't want a nanny state. For crying out loud, let people make their own choices.

Why ban the importation of ivory? Importers don't slaughter elephants. That's the work of poachers.
Re: Why Try and Ban Guns, Plastic Bags, and Vapes?
Why ban abortion?
Abortion doesn't kill babies. It's the Doctors who perform the procedure.

Must tell you, The Force - but there is actually NO way to “properly dispose” of plastic.
It ends up in landfills, or sold to foreign countries where residents are drowning in our plastic, or recyclers there turn a small portion of all plastic items into plastic ropes or cords.
The earth is inundated with the pollution of plastic The only way
to fix plastic inundation is to stop using it. No demand, no incentive to make new plastic items.
And we’d still have no solution about what to do with all that remains.
Also - ask yourself which industry produces and sells the basic elements of plastic.

Apparently, according to this article anyway, most of the stuff we put in special recycling bins end up in the same place the rest of your garbage goes:screen glare wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2019 8:52 am Must tell you, The Force - but there is actually NO way to “properly dispose” of plastic.

Exactly. That's the whole idea of this thread.

That's what trollinlife does, when she/he/it/they can't find someone who will argue her/him/it/them, it talks to itself!
