Jealous of being over-the-hill and subpar? SURE!

Jim and Terry will anchor a newscast after already putting in a full shift of breaking news, advancing stories, and producing original investigative pieces. Bill believes anchoring a show IS the full shift.

Typical Scumbag 101. Can't even answer a simple question without being an ass.
You asked me, which you’re free to do.

I asked you, which I’m free to do.

You called me names, which you’re free to do.

Talent times effort equals skill.

Skill times effort equals achievement.

After 40 years, where’s the achievement?

Nine Emmys and 37 nominations. Translating into not winning the Emmy 76% of the time. Custer has five Emmys in ten nominations winning 50% of the time. And Custer has done it less than half the time.

Where’s the achievement?

Having the same job for decades? Sucking up to cops? Being a Boston fanboy? Being a nice guy? These are all indisputable facts, but not achievements.

The Bill Harris “Finest Hour” celebration at the Capitol Theater was quite telling.

The stories recounted showed an inside look.

His immediate manager was afraid to talk to him about switching to the 10pm news. Why would anyone be afraid to talk to an employee who many describe as a trusted, friendly, down-to-earth person? If he’s that approachable, why would his immediate manager refuse to talk to him about moving shifts? Sounds unapproachable to me.

Then, the story was told of a regular day. Bill rolls into work IN THE AFTERNOON in his sports car. Reads the news at 6pm, and then AT 6:32pm (their words, not mine) he’s back in the sports car squealing tires all the way home.

Hard-working? Going the extra mile? Hmmmmm.

Then, all the comments of “he’s willing to grab a camera and cover breaking news.” THAT’S HIS JOB!

Terry and Jim are so much better but get almost no credit.

I’m sure his kids and grandkids in the audience appreciated his generous use of the words “damn” and “hell” during his speech.

For anyone who actually wants the truth (and see how a station pays a nice tribute to its employees), you can see it on WEYI's Facebook page. (I couldn't find it on its website.)

As for HL101, I doubt very much that even though Bill Harris is retired that he can resist the temptation to criticize Bill. For someone who (falsely) claims that he's never met Bill, I find it "interesting" that you would watch an hour long live streamed retirement party for someone you don't know and claim that you don't care about. Just further evidence that you can't believe a word from the troll HL101.
He said those things during his speech in front of his kids and grandkids. I saw the video. Prove me wrong.

When asked about his favorite story, he said it was about a boat. The only time he got emotional during his speech was talking about a building, the Capitol Theater.

It’s been said, “News is people. People are news.” He surely doesn’t live by it.

Wow, tough year. The Bruins lose the Stanley Cup and zero Emmys. Well, it’s not like regional Emmys matter anyway. For those who don’t like Custer, he didn’t win any either.

1. I’m not a dude.

2. I have no anger toward anyone.

3. I know who I’ve met and who I haven’t.

4. You mentioned none of my former employers.

Any more lies you want to tell, Skippy?

1. Yes you are a biological male. A petty, little man at that.
2. You clearly have anger issues that need to be addressed by a professional.
3. I'm sure you know who you met, but it doesn't explain why you're embarrassed to admit your true identity, despite the fact that many people know who you are.
4. You were a former Chief Meteorologist at WNEM and WEYI... and now a failed Meteorologist at MLive.
5. No lies, just truth.
6. Once again, your rant has nothing to do with the topic at hand: Bill Harris' retirement.
Give just one shred of evidence as to your claims of me being a male, being who you think I am, or working where you’ve said I’ve worked. And since you can’t, because none of what you said is true, I’ll continue to describe you based on your characteristic of auto-lying.

Burden of proof is on the person accusing. You can’t give any shred of evidence because none exists. Do you also believe in unicorns?

When someone has been in the game for several decades and never accomplished anything, there’s a lot to critique.
