Some registered account users are experiencing password recognition issues. The issue appears to have been triggered by a PHP update on October 30. If this is occurring, please try logging in and using the "forgot password?" utility. Bear in mind auto-generated password reset emails may appear in your spam folder. If this does not work, please click the "Contact Us" option near the lower right hand corner of the index page to contact me via email. I have responded to all password reset requests received through 6a ET on November 7. You should see an email from the "Admin" email account.

November 9 update: Due to app errors, I have disabled the Tapatalk plug-in. As such, the Buzzboard is currently unavailable in Tapatalk. I am trying to do a clean reinstall, but each reinstall attempt is generating database errors. I am hopeful that the issue will be able to be resolved in the next few days.

Thank you for your patience!

Beilein Bolts To NBA

I guess being Izzo's doormat this season did him in. :razz

I can assure you that the lowlife pond scum known as Tom Izzo had NOTHING to do with Beilein's decision to leave. I'm just annoyed he chose CLEVELAND of all places. In retrospect, I wish he had taken the Pistons job last year.

Sad to see him go but I don't think the word "bolts" is accurate. He spent 12 years here. I think of bolting as someone who leaves after a year or two. But I suppose its semantics

Methinks the Cavs' owner, Detroit's Dan Gilbert, made him an offer he couldn't refuse.

Okay, (sc)UM fans, who do you want to replace him?

From my Princeton University WordWeb dictionary:
Bolt - The act of moving with great haste.

I'd say Beilein's decision was a "bolt" out of the "blue" (See what I did there? :razz ). I certainly didn't see it coming; I don't think anyone did.

Again semantics but just because you or I was caught by surprise doesn't mean "bolt" to me

Suppose you came home from work one day and your neighbors had a for sale sign in the yard. Are they bolting because you didn't know even if they had talked about it themselves for months?

Our being surprised has little to do with the definition; they haven't "bolted" till they actually leave. If they leave with great haste once they do leave, then they've "bolted". :lol I'm sure Beilein has been contemplating this move for weeks.

Can't blame the guy. Pragmatically it will be the last coaching gig in his career. While Michigan was paying him well, if you're 66 years old and have an opportunity to sign a five year contract for major league cash to close out your career you do it.

Good luck coach!

Beilein wasn’t the coach suspended, or the coach covering up sexual assault scandals. That would be Izzo, the biggest fraud out there.

This tells you how bad the Pistons offer was a while back. Cleveland is a mess and that won’t change. Doesn’t really matter, since there are only 2 or 3 teams in the league that have a shot.

I'm happy with the selection and think he will be successful. I wouldn't give the national writers too much credit...

You Michigan guys are dreaming, this will not be a successful hire. He has ZERO head coaching experience and ZERO college coaching experience. We'll see if he can recruit, but considering his glory days were in the early '90's, I am not sure how many kids headed for college can relate to him. And if Yaklich and/or Saadi go, it's gonna be Brady Hoke time at Crisler.

Clyde Drexler and Chris Mullen nod accordingly.

How is Carr doing anyway? Wasn't he ill?
