For those of you who were readers of Popular Communications, as I was, here is a link to a web site I found that has archived every single issue of the magazine, since it began in 1982, until it ceased publication in 2013.
Enjoy.

You could spend every waking hour for 10 years and not even scratch the surface on WCCW alumnus David "Eduardo" Gleason's website.

Re: Popular Communications Magazine
I want to go back through them to 2003 or 2004. There was an article showing how to receive weather FAXes that are broadcast on short wave and then decode them on your computer.
I downloaded the software for it and had some fun doing it. But, at some time, I lost everything I had on that computer. I want to find out again how I can get it.
Here is one of the charts I copied back then.

I started out with nothing and I still have most of it.
Re: Popular Communications Magazine
A free program called fldigi (fast light digital) from W1HKJ will decode and display WEFAX broadcasts, as well as dozens of other digital communications modes used in amateur radio, including Morse, RTTY, and PSK..
Documentation is pretty decent as well. Versions available for Windows, macOS, Linux.

Thanks. That's the one. I remember it now.
Arnie Coro, who does a DX program on Radio Havana sometimes sends text messages that can be decoded with that.
