What Are the "Strategic Voters" Thinking Now?

Unread post by Calvert DeForest »

So here's what happened in states (like Michigan) with open primaries:

Thousands of Democrats showed up to vote for Trump in Republican primaries, thinking that if he became the GOP nominee, Hillary would easily cream him in the general election. They called it "strategic voting".

I think it's safe to say that the strategy in question backfired.

Wonder if any of 'em wish they had a Delorean with a flux capacitor?

Maybe it was strategic voting to get him elected, too. Maybe some Dems thought that getting Trump elected and showing people 4 years of his administration would show people the folly of the alt-right.

Interesting theory, although I doubt they were thinking that far ahead.

I agree with Cal, not likely.

They likely would have split their vote if intentional and that wasn't the case.
Ask not what your country can do FOR you; ask what they are about to do TO YOU!!

Do you have a roommate named Leanord and a cute neighbor named Penny?
New York and Chicago were all in with respect to their sanctuary status — until they were hit with the challenge of actually providing sanctuary. In other words, typical liberal hypocrisy.
