An announcement this week that local radio personality Steve Bell was being let go from his job as sports director at AM800 after 41 years has left many people in the community upset.

When radio lost its conscience in 1996, it has destroyed what once was a very fun, relavent, local media. Gone, gone, gone...so sad.

I probably would have sour grapes too if I was let go by a broadcaster that has the same name as my last name.
