Is the Party already over?
Re: Is the Party already over?
103.3 is supposed to start broadcasting on 106.5 HD-2, I don't have a HD radio so I'm not sure.

That's funny Riff Raff I was just thinking the same thing, however I do have an HD radio at my aunt's house but the antenna is pointed NE towards Detroit so 106.5's signal is on the backside probably not strong enough to decode the HD. Give me a few minutes to turn the antenna and I'll see what I come up with.

I can confirm that Party 103.3 is available on WTOD-FM 106.5 HD-2, unfortunately the RDS has no song title or no station info, just showing WTOD-FM.

I googled a picture and Andrew Zepeda looms EXACTLY like I thought he would. Looks like a buoy with pubes on it.

I think I've been reading about Andrew Z on this board going back past my first screen name. And it's never been good. I had to take a lookRiff Raff wrote: ↑Sat Oct 22, 2022 6:21 pmHe's got a known a reputation around The Toledo area, as you can see.Mega Hertz wrote: ↑Sat Oct 22, 2022 5:55 pm I googled a picture and Andrew Zepeda looms EXACTLY like I thought he would. Nice write up in the Blade. I hope they pay the bill next month or The Party is over.

Re: Is the Party already over?
When I tuned in earlier, the new Catholic format on 1520 wasn't on yet. Still not sure if it's on yet.
Re: Is the Party already over?
I think the question is will the Catholics want people with Grubby Fingernails talking about how the first thing they do when they get out of bed is drink a beer on one of their stations? Brokered or not.
Re: Is the Party already over?
Finally catching-up. 1520 preset was dead tonite- I was expecting Potty 103.3 - BASPro, this is where I disagree. I thought 103.3 and 94.1 are married to AM 1520? Didn't 103.3 get dragged here using the 250 mile rule to bolster an analog AM? I didn't think an HD-2 signal was an option, but I could be wrong. JYM 730 now has their 106.9 translator, which IS married to it- literally too, as they blew out the S.W. AM tower and flipped a few FM bays up top on a replacement tower. But WJYM is more a Lima station than Lucas County, while 106.9 easily covers South Toledo, and good signal in W, Tol.

Re: Is the Party already over?
The FCC rule locking a translator to rebroadcast an AM station only lasts for five years. After that, the translator can be switched to something else. Since, as I said W277BI went on around 2007, they have NOT been bound to any AM transmission requirements for a long time. Fusion Radio filed the change to rebroadcast WTOD-HD2 back on September 7 and the Commission doesn't seem to have any problem with that.
Re: Is the Party already over?
Thanks BASPro, didn't realize 103.3 had a Toledo allocation in 2007.
FYI, used the 'super duper HD radio' and all I get is a flashing HD light and no decode from 106.5 in Toledo. Ann Arbor Public Radio locks frequently in FM-HD, but not Swanton, Ohio, only 92.5, 94.5, 101.5, 104.7, 105.5 all with an HD-2 since WRVF deleted HD-3.
In fact, when 91.7 transmits the EAS test on Wednesdays, the Kenwood HD radio will actually STOP what's playing (SXM, flash drive, CD, or another broadcast station) and switch you directly to WUOM and onscreen text says "EAS Test for Washtenaw and Lenawee County etc..." so truly a worthwhile EAS alert method. I wonder why none of the Toledo iHeart stations in HD do that, especially since WRVF and WIOT are Local Primary LP1 and LP2 stations for this area EAS? In Ohio I decode zero AM HD stations- Superstation 910 blinks the light, but doesn't lock, not even with it's 50KW.
