So many stations still aren't subscribed. I've always wondered how Proclaim FM and WGTE perform in the market.

damn, remember when XKR beat IOT a few years ago? Now IOT's ratings almost double theirs.
Looks like Potty 103.3 doesn't subscribe either.

IOT Doesn't have one Live or Local jock on the station.CurlyHoward wrote: ↑Sun Oct 01, 2023 2:11 pm damn, remember when XKR beat IOT a few years ago? Now IOT's ratings almost double theirs.

So? If live and local was a guaranteed win voice tracking wouldn’t happen. Good content can come from anywhere. As long as it’s good, people will listen.

Boob and Tom followed by voicetracked Scott Miller playing the same stale songs over and over stretches my definition of "good" quite a bit but plenty in Toledo think otherwise I guess.

My point exactly great liner cards and googled music news can come from anywhere.Optimod6000 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 02, 2023 8:04 am So? If live and local was a guaranteed win voice tracking wouldn’t happen. Good content can come from anywhere. As long as it’s good, people will listen.

WIOT sounds nearly the same as it did 20 years ago. I worked at a place for a little over 3 years and had to listen to WIOT 5 days a week. After I quit that job, I swore off it forever and have kept that promise for 19 years now. But yeah, T-Towners lover there well done crispy burned out butt rock.MWmetalhead wrote: ↑Tue Oct 03, 2023 7:08 am WIOT from a music standpoint is a pretty rotten station but folks in Toledo seem to like it. Having a big signal advantage over WXKR certainly helps WIOT's cause.

Having much better audio quality also probably helps WIOT too. WXKR's audio quality sounds horrible these days.MWmetalhead wrote: ↑Tue Oct 03, 2023 7:08 am WIOT from a music standpoint is a pretty rotten station but folks in Toledo seem to like it. Re: Toledo Radio Ratings August 2023
XKR's signal still pretty easily covers the populated parts of metro Toledo that matter in the ratings, though.
Re: Toledo Radio Ratings August 2023
XKR's signal is actually really big. It can be heard way west of Toledo on the turnpike. It definitely penetrates all the buildings where the people live in the market. Signal size between IOT and XKR are pretty comparable.
Re: Toledo Radio Ratings August 2023
Both cover the actual market quite well. From experience IOT is stronger in Monroe County and Downriver, as well as south around Findlay. I don't recall many Downriver businesses advertising on IOT.
