Toledo Radio Ratings August 2023

A place to go for those of you who wish to discuss happenings in OH, IN, IL, WI, and Ontario. OSU sucks, by the way.

So many stations still aren't subscribed. I've always wondered how Proclaim FM and WGTE perform in the market.

damn, remember when XKR beat IOT a few years ago? Now IOT's ratings almost double theirs.

Looks like Potty 103.3 doesn't subscribe either.

So? If live and local was a guaranteed win voice tracking wouldn’t happen. Good content can come from anywhere. As long as it’s good, people will listen.

Boob and Tom followed by voicetracked Scott Miller playing the same stale songs over and over stretches my definition of "good" quite a bit but plenty in Toledo think otherwise I guess.

WIOT sounds nearly the same as it did 20 years ago. I worked at a place for a little over 3 years and had to listen to WIOT 5 days a week. After I quit that job, I swore off it forever and have kept that promise for 19 years now. But yeah, T-Towners lover there well done crispy burned out butt rock.

Having much better audio quality also probably helps WIOT too. WXKR's audio quality sounds horrible these days.

XKR's signal still pretty easily covers the populated parts of metro Toledo that matter in the ratings, though.

XKR's signal is actually really big. It can be heard way west of Toledo on the turnpike. It definitely penetrates all the buildings where the people live in the market. Signal size between IOT and XKR are pretty comparable.

Both cover the actual market quite well. From experience IOT is stronger in Monroe County and Downriver, as well as south around Findlay. I don't recall many Downriver businesses advertising on IOT.
