Yes, I know nobody cares about HD channels. Just thought I'd post this in case someone listened to it.

Re: RIP WRVF-HD3 The Breeze
Where would someone even buy an HD radio at this point?
They/them, non-binary and proud.
Remember that “2000 Mules” was concocted by a circus of elephants.
The right needs to stop worry about what’s between people’s legs. Instead, they should focus on what’s between their ears.
Audacity sucks.

HD radio probably still exists because the big corporations back it.MotorCityRadioFreak wrote: ↑Thu Aug 25, 2022 11:22 pm Where would someone even buy an HD radio at this point?
Re: RIP WRVF-HD3 The Breeze
Morons like me have one. 101.5 HD-3 was given no promotion that I know off, and I listened to it just Wedneday night. Maybe they'll give us the Dayton Classic AT40 channel?
Also, why, when WSPD has TOH ID, do they say "WRVF-HD2, Toledo" in 1 second and at -6dB? Why not let people know it's on their River feed- assanine.

Personally, I think using the hosting station in the ID is annoying. I think they should allow the station to just identify as the originating station. They should allow the ID as WSPD-HD3 if they want to. And WWJ on WXYT-FM as WWJ-HD2 if they want to.

Re: RIP WRVF-HD3 The Breeze
I own an HD radio, but just one. I don't consider it a bad deal, but the tradeoff is no AM. The tradeoff to that is in my part of Columbus, WTVN's signal is total butt at night so it comes in loud and clear at all hours on 93.3 HD2. Not that I listen to them a ton anymore.
Re: RIP WRVF-HD3 The Breeze
I’ve only had one in rental cars, yet I own a shortwave radio. Go figure.

I have about 9 shortwave radios and zero HD radios. Four of them are for sale. Let me know if you are interested. Realistic DX-302, Sony 7600GR, Magnavox D2935, and Grundig Yacht Boy are all for sale.

Re: RIP WRVF-HD3 The Breeze
Hmm…WNIC hd2 “Sunny Radio” has been off the air since around that time too…wonder if it is gone too
Re: RIP WRVF-HD3 The Breeze
I thought Sunny wasn't half bad. Wasn't that the national feed? Maybe the HD inventors are charging big bucks for using the HD subchannels and these commercial free subs. So iHeart told them to F-off on their HD royalty fees??

More likely music licensing fees with no off-setting ad revenue.
