ION channel on 13.4

A place to go for those of you who wish to discuss happenings in OH, IN, IL, WI, and Ontario. OSU sucks, by the way.

ION channel on 13.4

Unread post by WOHO »

So, what's the verdict on ION now on OTA WTVG 13.4 subchannel? I get a little bit of digital artifacts, more than the lower resolution 13.3, but higher general quality than 13.3 overall 480 vs 720. WGTE has by far the best system to squeeze out 3 decent quality streams without digital artifacts.

ION just seems like a way to collect royalties for all the cop shows of the past 10 years.
Personally, I would have much rather had 'Antenna TV' on WTVG 13.4 (instead of the high school cable access quality on 48.2 BS).

It's crap, and it's made 13.1 and 13.2 suffer too. 13.3 has the best quality of all the subchannels and it's SD!

BTW, WADL actually has the best system. It has a 1080p subchannel, five SD subchannels, and an audio only channel. And it's all in great quality, except for 38.5, which is transmitted in adequate quality.
