I saw heroes and icons, start tv and decades were added on some of these channels. Other channels say new channel coming soon. Does anyone know where these channels are sent from and what other channels will be added?

Hi Matt71,

As makitaman noted, channel 16 (both broadcasting on RF16 and identifying its streams as 16.n) is licensed to Traverse City. The tower it's from is on Cedar Run Rd., a mile straight north from the Traverse City West High School.

Heritage Broadcasting (owner of WWTV 9) does all the operations of the 4 broadcast signals supposedly emanating off that tower: RF25 (providing CBS and the others labeled as 9.n), RF16 (per your post), RF27 (which maybe was going to be switched to ATSC 3.0, but no FCC filing yet; and might not happen if Evoca indeed folds), and RF23 (which possibly will be used like a translator/repeater for Local 32 FOX, with subchannels, as it's owned by Cadillac Telecasting like Local 32 WFQX).

I have no insight on what content will be added, other than to say there are lots of diginets and a few shopping channels that are running in the Grand Rapids market that haven't yet made it to Northern Michigan. I can almost bet that ShopLC will get added, since it's on 3 separate full power stations down here.

Cheers! ~~ Statmanmi

Thanks for the info. It's always cool to find new channels and learn about what's happening and all the specifics.

Hey Statmanmi,

RF-15 is out of Cadillac and RF-16 is out of Traverse City with the same 6 channels: Decades, new, Story, H&I, Start & new again.

RF-23 has been on awhile in TC with a copy of all 7 WFQX channels.

RF-27 is also on in TC with a nice 3.0 group of channels.
