Gotta hand it to Trish, she has Scottish in her blood. I bet that Bob FM will be getting a larger footprint.

Hope she does something good with 106.7!

I'm surprised 106.7 went for less than half the price of 98.9.
Not surprised by that price tag at all! Once the hand was tipped, everyone saw what was there to be had. I think we all agree Midwestern will get it's money's worth from it's investment in KLT. When it comes to EMF and CMU, we're talking about a different financial source and means of raising funds, so a few hundred grand are merely line items in a bigger budget. So, once NBI got the bigger figures for three of those signals, the rest have become a little easier of a bitter pill to swallow. I suspect the original end game was the hope of generating $2.5 million collectively for all of the signals (now the bottom line has likely shifted to trying to reach $2 mil). But, the later it gets in the game, the lower the price gets. How much are they up to now... $500k for CFX, $450k for KLT, $422k for KLZ... and now this $215k sale... so it tilts the scale to just under $1.6 mil. Maybe they'll get $150-175k for SRJ (especially if IPR needs it longer than anticipated), but I don't see that coming in for FDX (no matter how much lipstick you put on a pig... it is what it is). At the end of the day, if they top $1.8 mil; they can make a final farewell from the market. However, I am certain their investment long paid for itself; and don't forget, the towers were sold some time ago while Blarney was still LMA'ing the cluster. Now we'll see how the rest of this pans out...

Hard to believe that WLDR was sold back in the early 2000s for $3.8 million (and that 100kW central-market signal might be worth $200k today). Based on the Northern sale prices, it's not a question of if any licenses will not be renewed, it's a question of how many will not be renewed.

Speaking of CMU, I would have to imagine their 95.1 translator in TC gets spun off in the near future.

Midwestern could easily get translators for their two AMs in TC if they wanted (in addition to CMU's soon to be superfluous translator, Smile FM has two translators covering the exact same area).

IMHO, IPR should buy WSRJ, move News there, and spin off 91.5 to the Promise FM (105.5 covers more area than 91.5).

WNMC has a better signal than 105.5... Promise does too.

So, to recap - Pepsi Man has dumped 4 of 6 for a total of less than $2 million, with WSRJ and WFDX left. FDX off but has not filed an STA yet, SRJ running Interlochen and probably a few shekels thrown Minot's way. Wonder how much money was lost in this deal, looking at the last few years...

I recall a rejected offer in the neighborhood of $8 million back in 2007? I think the ask at that time was 14 million.
