The Butcher is gone
Re: The Butcher is gone
I don’t believe Becky was “fired” — but she clearly saw the writing on the wall.
Here’s Becky’s post on Facebook:
“Here is news for my friends, tomorrow is my last day with MidMichiganNow NBC25, FOX66 and CW46. I came in very excited to return to my past life in TV just over a year ago. When you think you have it all figured out that’s when someone above says they have a different plan for you. I am headed back to Adams Outdoor Advertising to do exactly what I was meant to do…at this moment in time. I am very excited to reunite with my Adams team, but very emotional about leaving my TV family. It’s amazing what you can learn, feel and impact in just one year. I am very excited for my new adventure but sad that I am leaving my past that made me the woman I am today…to new chapters.“
I’ve been critical of Becky and past GMs for not standing up to Sinclair corporate and doing what’s right by their local employees. To her credit, I believe Becky disagreed with the decision to lay off employees and cut local newscasts.
