Traverse City weather in Saginaw
Traverse City weather in Saginaw
Last week, one of the stations (25 or 66, I forget which one) had their evening news weather report given by somebody from Traverse City. The anchor even announced that they were cutting to their sister station in Traverse City for the report.
How long have they been doing this?

Re: Traverse City weather in Saginaw
Anytime that Ron wants the weekend off and Leslie or the new guy can’t cover the shift…
Re: Traverse City weather in Saginaw
Ron is the hardest worker and most reliable person in the weather department. The other two are only in it for themselves.
Re: Traverse City weather in Saginaw
Toadhole probably goes off the deep end with her bitchin and screaming!
Re: Traverse City weather in Saginaw
Erik seems like a nice guy. Is he not good to work with? Agree about Ron being a great guy.
Re: Traverse City weather in Saginaw
Erik is fine. He’s no Ahmad.
Ron is a great guy.
And Leslie is… well, Leslie. Check out her morning Facebook posts.

Erik is good when he did weekends on WXMI Fox17 doing weather he left for Weather Nation in CO.
Go Pistons, Let's Go Redwings.
Re: Traverse City weather in Saginaw
Erik’s not a team player now. Not sure what changed from the time he worked in GR to now. But his lack of leadership is starting to rub some people the wrong way.
Maybe we were spoiled with Ahmad Bajjey and Jamie Kagol before. Both were willing to help out whenever needed.
Erik just wants to do only what Erik wants to do — nothing more. News Director Karin of course is of absolutely no help in resolving these complaints.

Trying to play devil's advocate here.... is it possible that Erik was told to *not* "take the lead" in the way Ahmad did?
I don't really like him. Just trying to maybe point a possible reason why he is the way he is. Frankly, I still think his delivery is very poor.
If Ron had his meteorological degree and with a bit more experience, he'd make a damn good chief.

Re: Traverse City weather in Saginaw
I agree with you on Ron’s potential.
Re: Traverse City weather in Saginaw
Ron is better than any of the weather people out there. The rest of them can’t even wipe his ass

Re: Traverse City weather in Saginaw
My point was that the weathercaster for the Tri-Cities station was located in Traverse City. Why were they doing this?
Re: Traverse City weather in Saginaw
“Vacation” relief.
We used to have four mets— and this wouldn’t have been a problem. But the recent cuts meant we no longer have backup on many shifts. We also don’t have people willing to change shifts to cover. It’s embarrassing when a Traverse City Met fills in and knows nothing about the market. Great job Erik and Karin!!!
