ABC 12’s owner, Byron Allen, is suing McDonalds, claiming the fast food chain is discriminating against his stations by not advertising on Black owned media stations.

It’s a novel, but misguided, approach. Increase ratings and businesses won’t have an option other than advertising on his stations.
Mickey D’s approach toward less local advertising and its focus on more national digital advertising is not a new trend. It’s hurting a lot of local stations, but it’s not racist per se.

Byron Allen vs. Ronald McDonald
Re: Byron Allen vs. Ronald McDonald
Byron isn't going to win he tried to sue Comcast & Spectrum the Supreme court and the Supreme Court denied Mr. Allen's claims. Comcast did come to agree to put some of his low rate channels and Spectrum as well settled with Allen as well. Byron Allen is a shakedown artist if you ask me he learned that from Jesse Jackson & Al Sharpton as well.

Re-stating sinklair's posted source for clarity in this matter:
Byron Allen's $10 bln McDonald's discrimination lawsuit is thrown out
Re: Byron Allen vs. Ronald McDonald
Thanks Mike for the update. As expected this frivolous lawsuit was rightfully tossed. Byron can do more by investing in great local journalism at his stations. That type of success will lead to higher ratings, which in return will lead to increased advertising revenue on his stations. Rinse and repeat.

I can't stand Byron Allen. All his fake court shows and un-funny programs. How did this guy acquire his wealth? He's so irritating.
