Ellen ending her talk show, what’s next?

Unread post by sinklair »

Ellen says she will be ending her daytime talk show next year after 19 years.

Ellen is the lead in to 25-66’s underperforming 5pm news. So will the new GM, the In Over Her Head News Director and Sinclair corporate Death Star try to place another syndicated show that will also flop... or will they add another hour of local news (of course with no additional bodies)?

Never really watched her daytime show (guess I'm not the demographic), but daytime fare in general has become pretty stale, especially in light of the production changes resulting from COVID. It's pretty much glorified Zoom calls these days.

I have heard that Tiffany Haddish may be the replacement for Ellen's show. I wouldn't be surprised if the news will replace Ellen that isn't going to be made until the summer of 2022, I wouldn't be surprised that Wood TV airs news at 4PM maybe they go syndication the only news at 4PM is Fox17 they go from 4PM to 7PM they put Scripps newsfeed at 7PM. Ellen has been on Wood TV for most of her run other than for 3 years when WWMT aired Ellen at 10AM from 2005-08.

Coincides with about the time she started the show.

Shouldn't we just have news from noon until 7 PM continuously? Why are morning people the only ones to get all the damn news repeated on a loop for hours on end? It's not fair! MORE NEWS! We need MORE NEWS!!
