Journalism Fraud

Unread post by sinklair »

Journalists have one job: to report facts. That is unless you work for the Sinclair Death Star.. then you get to report rumor.

In a Monday corporate must-run story, “reporter” Kristine Frazao alleged voter fraud in Minnesota based on undercover video shot and edited by conservative advocacy group Project Veritas.

https://nbc25news.com/news/nation-world ... -minnesota

In the story 25-66 was forced to run, Frazao even writes that she’s not able to verify Project Veritas’ claims of fraud. If you can’t verify the claims of an advocacy group, then you’re not doing your job... and maybe want to spend another day to do research.

IF the story is true, it’s probably a big story for Minneapolis. However, Sinclair doesn’t have any news stations in Minnesota. Evident by its lack of any real independent reporting. The only reason why it was a story was that it alleged (once again without any verification) that Democratic operatives might have done something wrong but no one knows because so-called Baltimore based “reporters” can’t be bothered to verify facts and instead just run with rumors instead because it’s easier and they then make Sinclair owner David Smith and SVP of News and Fox wannabe Scott Livingston happy.

There was also NO context or perspective added to the story by 25-66’s In Over Her Head News Director. Project Veritas has a sketchy history with “facts”... and that information could have been added... but purposely was left out by both Sinclair and 25-66 management.

25-55: you have one job — report only facts you can prove. Do your dam job.

I wish one of the other stations or M-Live or Flint Beat would call out 25-66 for this sloppy journalism. They won’t. But it would be nice to have an independent news voice in this market. It is a disservice to only have three corporate run TV stations with zero local independence in Flint. Sinclair needs to lose its FCC licenses.

And 25-66’s Master Degree News Director who apparently doesn’t know how to report facts or ethics and needs to resign immediately.

Masters Level Math for 25-66’s In Over Her Head News Director:
Do your job or quit

Can’t believe morale is so bad on Pierson Road that some people actually wish for the “good ole Barrington Days”. It might not have been good TV, but at least they were honest.

Why isn’t Dave Bondy “keeping it real” about the shoddy “journalism” being produced by the Sinclair corporate Death Star??

The Hennepin County Attorney's Office has responded to allegations of potential ballot harvesting in the county, stating it has not received information nor does it have any cases "involving so-called ballot harvesting in any elections held in Hennepin County this year."The response comes after a video released by conservative activist group Project Veritas claims to show ballot harvesting in Minneapolis among "political allies and associates of Rep. Ilhan Omar." The video circulated widely on social media after its release, leading some state lawmakers to call for an investigation.
Remember SCTV's National Midnight Star? Their factchecking consisted of "Somebody said it, so it must be true!"

I saw it on FTVLive they had 3 stories from that Sinclair article it was number 2 in the article with the info. Seems when FTVLive gets Sinclair must-runs reporter Ahtra Elnashar is always the first to be mentioned Ahtra worked as a reporter/weekend anchor WXMI Fox17 before she left to work for Sinclair national in DC I sometimes see her reports on WWMT. Why doesn't TV5 or TV12 not report on Sinclair dealings is it because they don't care and don't want to get on Sinclair's bad side if they have to make deals with them for networks on the subchannels in other markets. Like Charged, Stadium, Comet etc.

Master: It’s an unholy alliance of mega broadcasters. That’s why the Sinclair’s of the world need to be broken up. We need local ownership of TV stations to get back to true local journalism
