Channel 5 didn't carry CBS Evening News?
Tonight, Tuesday, May 19, WNEM TV-5 carried the streaming CBSN "Free - Live - 24/7" service at 6:30 pm instead of the scheduled Norah O'Donnell's CBS Evening News. Isn't anybody in the control room or front office paying attention? I thought they had to drop in local commercials in several of the breaks? I have no idea how no one in charge saw this mistake, unless no one is in charge.

It was a CBS issue, not a WNEM issue. It affected all CBS stations in the Eastern Time Zone it appears:

Notice the first thought was to blame the station and their ineptitude.

5 deserves the first blame for people not in the know, due to their record. I think it's impressive that they showed appropriate programming from CBS rather than airing a 30 minute commercial for "My Pillow."rugratsonline wrote: ↑Thu May 21, 2020 6:08 pmNot everyone "likes" CBS News on Facebook, so sometimes they end up being one of the last to know.

Not sure who has more technical problems these days: WNEM or it’s parent network, CBS. CBS can’t even do a weekend newscast so it’s farming it out to local affiliates. Uncle Walter must be turning over in his grave.
