Lazy journalism or sucking up?

Unread post by sinklair »

Lots of businesses have closed as a result of COVID-19. When it comes to hair salons, which one gets profiled on TV5? None other than the one coowned by TV5 anchor David Custer:

A little unethical if you ask me to profile a business owned by one of the station’s main anchors. Could it be Scotty Wolcheck is too lazy to find another salon not owned by a coworker...or does he make commission/get free haircuts by sucking up to Dan and David?

How does this get approved by the TV5 News Director and GM? Apparently no one at TV5 took an ethics class

So when did disclosing the conflict absolve a journalist of the conflict? I must have missed that ethic-less class.

Wrong is wrong. And Scott should be the newest inductee in daddy’s Hall of Shame.
