OMG. This was the first election at ABC12 without Pete Z… and as feared it was a cluster behind the scenes. It’s not like this primary wasn’t on the calendar. Yet the powers that be were woefully unprepared.

You have the blind leading the blind there. Denise has been there for 3 years. She drove out talented and hard working people. Now, all that is left is people with 0 experience. I know a few people are hunting for that EP job. If they failed like you say they did well they better rethink their chances of getting that job.Under New Management wrote: ↑Wed Aug 03, 2022 12:05 am OMG. The revolving door at abc12 is set on wrap speed.

Former longtime ABC 12 Executive Producer who handled a lot of the special projects planning like elections. He did a lot of the behind the scenes detail work. Without him, it’s been a lot more chaos.

They're losing everyone we liked. We liked to watch the news at 4p then switch to wnem for 5p but the 4p with JR is awful now. Dawn and Terry can only do so much to make up for that.Under New Management wrote: ↑Thu Aug 04, 2022 7:29 pm Former longtime ABC 12 Executive Producer who handled a lot of the special projects planning like elections. ABC 12 has now lost its assistant news director. He is going across the street to WNEM. When will the higher ups at the station realize the reason why they're losing people is because of denise. Morale is extremely low at lapeer rd.

It was sad seeing Pat leave. The move makes sense since he’s been driving from Bay City to Flint all these years. It also reunites Pat with Jayne, who promoted him from our producing ranks. How many more people have to leave before Brock has enough of Denise running this once proud station into the ground? Best of luck Pat. We’re already missing ya, buddy!

She's driven out both of her assistants, our favorite weatherman, and every reporter we've ever known. I wish I had her immunity at my job. Maybe she has something on them and could file a lawsuit? Letting that happen is unbelievable. The new Gm sounds like a nightmare too or maybe just lazy and doesn't give a damn either.Under New Management wrote: ↑Thu Aug 11, 2022 10:10 pm It was sad seeing Pat leave. Re: Abc12 breaking point
D was on medical leave last December through early March. GM may have to wait to take any sort of action until a certain time passes so she doesn’t come back and sue for wrongful termination. But at this point— there is no backup leadership because everyone has left. I nominate Rebecca Norris to become ND or assistant ND. Rebecca knows exactly how that newsroom is supposed to work and is a great team player.

Rebecca is great. I don’t think she’s ready to be News Director, but it would go a long way to have someone in an EP/Assistant News Director role who has great relationships with the entire newsroom.

Have they hired a replacement for Pat yet?
Re: Abc12 breaking point
Yes, they did.
