WNEM 5 new letters & new music

I just saw WNEM TV 5 News At 5 with a different new opening. The background music has changed!! Also the letters & numbers are different!! :shock:

Anything to keep them relevant in the marketplace. It’s just a sad market for tv news stations.

A typical move for a News Director to "make their mark" when they don't have the skillset to actually make it journalistically.

They need to focus on content. The 6pm news often is more than half national or world news and not much relevant local news. The same national stories come up at 6:30 from CBS. Plus they air a Promo for the CBS newscast taking away even more time from local content.

I wish they had some sports news on the 6:00 newscast like the old days.
