Yet another veteran journalist is leaving 25-66. Our morning executive producer — who has been with us for nearly a decade — says he’s had enough of the bad hours and even worse pay… so he’s leaving the business altogether.
Of course, no word yet from our handpicked Sinclair GM, our In Over Her Head News Director or the HR Director/Party Planner. So don’t let anyone know that you know, OK?
The position’s not posted, so it’s likely not going to be filled and the Corporate Death Star bean counters will likely pocket the savings.
So our EP survived Barrington, was able to keep producing news when we went remote during the COVID pandemic, kept us on the air when Russian hackers took down most of our systems, made the best out of the hand he was dealt with some pretty fragile egos on the morning show… and yet was disrespected in attempts to renew his contract.
Another good one is fleeing the Titanic that is Sinclair/Armstrong Williams’ 25-66. We will miss one of the few managers left who still gives a dam about the journalism we do and the people who do it.
