Most of these journalists are left-wing "liberals" and are NOT impartial.

You're absolutely correct. They shouldn't be posting that.

My favorite is when they say, "well, I still get to have an opinion, too."

Well, yes. You do. But you keep it in your head.

When I was a working journalist, I never posted political views even on my locked down personal page.

Curious, based on watching me, did you ever get an inkling on my political views?

I watched election night all the way thru..their joy in reporting slowly turned into a wake. (CBS/NBC/ABC/PBS). Maybe the cable networks handled it differently.

MLive is slanted as well.

And NO...I'm not a big Trump supporter.

Both political parties reduce down to the same thing... people getting screwed so corporations can keep control of milking the population for every cent they can. Different terminology, same screwing.

It goes like this:

Newsperson's Facebook page: Can you believe what Trump is doing on immigration? Unbelievable! There are no words! Totally disgusted!

Same newsperson's Facebook page five minutes later: Be sure to catch my exclusive interview with Donald Trump.
Yeah, it's the truth. It's all a big chess game and people are the pawns.

I fail to see anything "professional" about US media anymore. They only report what will cause controversy and ignore stories of real importance, or spin them left or right to fit their agendas. I don't even watch news on US television anymore.

I watch mostly foreign news. As of late, I've noticed RT from Russia is going a bit toward "maybe we need someone crazy like Trump" in the past week, where all other networks, BBC especially, are in full-blown "OMG the sky fell last night". That said, right-wing parties in Europe have gone wild since his election, seeking to undo every shred of socialism and humanism they can. Romania decriminalized "petty corruption under like €48,000 and hundreds of thousands have been violently protesting. Marine Le Pen of France misused funds from the EU and refuses to repay them. The psycho-looking guy in the Netherlands has been going whack and there's been a resurgence of far-right Nazis in Germany. It's pretty crazy. However, many channels agree that Clinton wasn't the answer and are very upset that Bernie Sanders was screwed, and that is exactly how they word it. US media still seems in complete denial about the DNC.

What are they in denial about?

Bernie just drove Clinton to the left and made her look even more fake.

They should have ran Biden - which at least would been considered a workin' man's democrat.

For a bunch of people who say you've given up on local media and don't watch anymore, I find it humorous that you have so many opinions about everything. I'd say the ones who have hidden political agendas are HL101 and his second account, R Bedell.

Biden is on H*** problem, including his creepy non consensual crap. Did anyone see his rally where his first words were "Democrats and Independents! It's time we show that a divided government is not acceptable!" Nice sentiment, but why would he only address approximately half of the voters when calling for political unity? Fool.

HL101: your comments have nothing to do with the post's focus (Personal political opinions on news folks' Facebook page).

Just trying to be helpful...

Biden’s message in his first video was all about “American racism.” It showed the Charlottesville demonstration and called for shutting down that message.

I have no problem, neither does the Constitution, with free people expressing their opinions, including racist, sexist, and other non-popular speech.
Perhaps we aren't referring to the same speech.

Sadly, the days of "just the facts" are over. I regularly question how many "facts" we are actually getting and how much of it is positioning, fluff, spin, rhetoric, fake news, opinion, gossip or just plain BS. (I'm guessing 70% is non-fact based)

As for FB, IMO, if it's a journalist's personal page, they should be able to say whatever they want, but the minute they tie their FB page to work, such as "Joe Blow TV 99 Reporter"'s FB page, it should be all about professionalism and representing their company and their product - nothing about their opinion - because honestly, I couldn't care less about your opinion.

Know your role.
