How about almost half of that number died because Democrat Governor's sent infected people to nursing homes where the most vulnerable lived.
New York and Chicago were all in with respect to their sanctuary status — until they were hit with the challenge of actually providing sanctuary. In other words, typical liberal hypocrisy.

Even then... 112,500..... nothing to sneeze at. A shade more than the 40 cops at the top of the thread. There are about 800,000 cops on the beat fwiw. What’s being implied here is that the 40 cops dying = bad and 225,000 dying = the cost of existing.

While it would be great to see that number at zero, the number is lower than I would've guessed.
There are other occupations that are more dangerous.
