No more 4-Zone Weather on WDIV!
Re: No more 4-Zone Weather on WDIV!
That's a shame.

It seemed like it was Andrew's brainchild. I will admit that I didn't like it at first, but it grew on me.
They/them, non-binary and proud.
Remember that “2000 Mules” was concocted by a circus of elephants.
The right needs to stop worry about what’s between people’s legs. Instead, they should focus on what’s between their ears.
Audacity sucks.

Kim is still using 4 Zone when giving a roundup of expected overnight lows, as has been past practice. (I haven't watched any pre-4 p.m. shows yet this week to see what the guys are doing.) The 4 Warn icon I've only seen used when she switches to the new radar system. Just my observations after two days.
Re: No more 4-Zone Weather on WDIV!
There was a weather promo this morning where they used both the 4zone and 4warn labels, almost as if the 4warn was the overall "umbrella" for their weather product and 4zone was an element of it.
Re: No more 4-Zone Weather on WDIV!
I figured they did a weather rebrand specifically to coincide with Kim Adams taking on the lead duties. Kind of makes sense to do it all at once. 4Warn is definitely the name of the overall weather brand. I have the WDIV weather app on my phone, and the app icon changed about a week ago to be "4Warn." Watched a clip of today's Kim Adams forecast, likely from the 6pm broadcast, and I didn't see her doing the zones. Interestingly, online (and accessible through the app) you can still get to a 4Zone forecast page where the temps are all laid out in the zones graphics that they used to use on-air. So maybe it'll be a web-only feature.

She sure acts like she wrote the software they use.
