Channel 26

Is anyone able to get CHWI's flea powered signal on channel 26? Are they in HD? What's the PSIP callsign? Any SAP audio transmitted?

I have yet to get OTA cbet-9 let alone anything else.

Not sure if I’d get 26 but I can try.

CHWI-60 is on RF channel 17 with a PSIP channel of 26 according to rabbitears.info

Tower is downtown Windsor near the river with a highly directional pattern toward the southeast.

Why can't you get it?
Ask not what your country can do FOR you; ask what they are about to do TO YOU!!

CBC redirected their signal according to several Canadians that have posted.

I miss it as well! I could never get it out here in Farmington Hills.

I could always get it in Warren

More importantly, The stopped using the wavestack that was a short walk from the Detroit River, and moved to the tower that CICO-32 and CBEFT-78/54 were on, near McGregor, about 10 miles further East.

Maybe there will be less interference with 97.1. Working downtown, I would always get random interference once I hit the downtown area. It was very bad on most days.

Looking at RabbitEars, someone located along the river between roughly the Ambassador Bridge and Belle Isle might be able to get a weak signal from CHWI-DT-60, which is on RF 17

I get CBET pretty well, most of the time, but getting CHWI (main transmitter) requires a tropospheric opening. I've technically seen the Windsor translator, both as a weak analog signal, and later, as a PSIP response with ID.

I live in Melvindale, and using an indoor setup, I get CBET and CICO's Windsor transmitter reliably. And I am also able to get a solid signal on CHWI Wheatley at night with a glitchy signal when the sun is out, but I have never seen the Windsor relay, not even in a tropo. Which is really weird because it's the closest licensed TV tower to my location! And that fact is even weirder, because that means that the closest tower to my house isn't even in the same country as me!

Used to get a black and white signal from CKCO 42, I got it in color once. I have never received any other Canadian stations.

Living in Commerce Township if I just point the antenna with rotor to the south-south-east I can get it perfectly. I had no success prior to their digital switch. The minute they switched to their digital I (to my amazement) I got a perfect picture. If I favor the antenna more to the east it will be gone which I expect since they moved more to the south.

You must have a powerful antenna because I am in Warren with nothing. I do have a standard antenna though.
