Adding 90’s and 00’s has helped WOMC as well actually they sound good these days covering 50 plus years of music it's all about variety. And 95.5 did good who said the younger demo doesn’t listen to radio anymore obviously someone is lying.

New York and Chicago were all in with respect to their sanctuary status — until they were hit with the challenge of actually providing sanctuary. In other words, typical liberal hypocrisy.

Re: Latest Numbers
Classical/Jazz 90.9 WRCJ has been slowly creeping up in the ratings. They are now at a 2.9 which has got to be the highest ever for that frequency. Where are their new listeners coming from, WJR?
Re: Latest Numbers
Dayna Clark is on the payroll again? I thought she just did traffic these days (which is farmed out), but I don’t listen to WJR much anymore. Ten years ago, their news department was larger. I doubt Gene Fogel makes that much being weekends only. Does he still teach at OU?
Did Adell stop buying, or is 910 that pathetic?

WOMC plays the same stuff over and over and over again, but apparently people around here don’t care. I was impressed with a different 104.3, on Guam no less, that actually played more of a variety of classic hits from the 70s-90s. Some songs I hasn’t heard in close to 20 years.Classichits939 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 20, 2020 11:36 am Adding 90’s and 00’s has helped WOMC as well actually they sound good these days covering 50 plus years of music it's all about variety. I stopped by my mom’s house a few days ago and she was listening to WJR... on the app. This is a woman who grew up with Top 40 AM radio, and she’s gone streaming. Reason? She doesn’t own a radio anymore! Pretty much all of her car listening is satellite radio, too. If radio can’t even keep that generation of listeners, there is a serious problem.

Re: Latest Numbers
Regarding your last sentence...we have been doing the same thing. My girlfriend got her new lease, 2020 Ford, on New Year's Eve. Since that date, with the trial of XM, we have not switched back to terrestrial radio ONCE. Granted, when we roll by classic rewind or classic vinyl, it may as well be one of the FM's, but you raised a good point. In almost 2 months, no AM or FM.fuzzpower wrote: ↑Thu Feb 20, 2020 8:20 pmWOMC plays the same stuff over and over and over again, but apparently people around here don’t care. Re: Latest Numbers
I stream a lot but without apps I just stream from my browser on my cellphone it uses less data and is fairly easy and less battery power being used and I don't have to worry about an app still open on the cellphone sucking up data.fuzzpower wrote: ↑Thu Feb 20, 2020 8:20 pmWOMC plays the same stuff over and over and over again, but apparently people around here don’t care.
