Re: Ron Cameron
I'm sure Ron's sponsors appreciate Ron's Florida callers.
Re: Ron Cameron
So much attention for a November NBA game with a Pistons team that's not going anywhere this year.
Re: Ron Cameron
I'm just remembering that Ron's longtime entertainment attorney was a guy - dead many years - named Brian Smith. Did Ron have an attorney named Carson, too? Who was Jimmy Carson's dad?
Re: Ron Cameron
The Pistons "had" to win this game?! Why??
Re: Ron Cameron
Does Ron only take calls from listeners who have diarrhea of the mouth??? Sheez!!!!
Re: Ron Cameron
"What's going on here?" A perfect ending to the show.
Re: Ron Cameron
I caught up with past broadcasts on the "podcast," and have two thoughts on the Terry Foster appearance.
1. I didn't need a lecture on white fragility from Mr Positive.
2. Terry thinks that journaism's purpose is to change the world. Just tell me about last night's ballgame.

Thanks. Glad I missed it.sparty89 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 22, 2021 2:00 pmI caught up with past broadcasts on the "podcast," and have two thoughts on the Terry Foster appearance.

Shockingly, yesterday’s shows are already up for listening on WDTK podcast page. Recently, whoever “flips the switch” hasn’t gotten around to making them available until around Wednesday.

Re: Ron Cameron
So Jimmy Carson joins Jason Thompson, Bob Page, and the countless others that Ron is too good to have on his show.radiofan1974 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 21, 2021 8:19 pmRon “not sure I would want Jimmy Carson on my show”
Even from Edmonton, Carson would call Ron every night
Re: Ron Cameron
With Prince Fielder making his debut on the HOF ballot, I’m wondering if Ron would strike a deal with the gods overseeing halls of fame inductions to grant him entrance into the Michigan Sports HOF if it meant that Prince would have to be inducted into the baseball HOF (alongside his great buddy, Howie Haak).

The June 26, 1986 issue of the Grosse Pointe News reports Jimmy Carson's parents are Maria and Charles "Chuck" Carson. The senior Mr. Carson's line of work is not mentioned.
Re: Ron Cameron
Thanks. It seems that Jimmy's father WAS an attorney:ShempLives wrote: ↑Fri Nov 26, 2021 12:11 pmThe June 26, 1986 issue of the Grosse Pointe News reports Jimmy Carson's parents are Maria and Charles "Chuck" Carson. The senior Mr. Carson's line of work is not mentioned.

But was he Ron's attorney ... and thus another reason Ron said he was so close to his son? As noted upthread, Ron, on his 2/20/21 show (p. 162), said that his attorney WAS Brian Smith, whom he spoke of in the present tense (even though he'd already been deceased for many years). Maybe Ron the media titan - last week he said he RAN WXYZ - retained a stable of attorneys.
