Ron Cameron
Re: Ron Cameron
He tells that Erik Spoelstra story a lot. I’m not buying that he went up & spoke to him. I’m remembering that Ron said he never even met Pistons coach Flip Saunders!
Re: Ron Cameron
Brady Singer, Kurt. Not Zimmer.
Re: Ron Cameron
“We’re trying to have fun on this show.” Since when? If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
Ron’s always great buddies with dead people who can’t claim otherwise. And Smokey Gaines’s sister didn’t have his number?!

Re: Ron Cameron
I am curious to know these other professional athletes versions of events of their interactions with Ron. Ron just referenced some trip with Tim McCormick and has reference other stories and trips with other guys. The Dan Enos one when they hooked up with Ernie Harwell for dinner on a Tiger road trip. I then recall another story Ron telling about John Smoltz and Ron giving himself credit for get Smoltz to Cooperstown because he called up Ron asking for advice because the Braves wanted to put him in the bullpen and as Ron says.... the rest is history. I am curious on their version of events, he's hurting for guests you would think he might give these guys a ring on the phone.

My favorite quote from Ron "I don't like him as a human but as a person" about Aaron Rogers

Re: Ron Cameron
The in-depth Pistons talk about Blake Griffin being a ball hog, a comedian, twice on the Jimmy Fallon show in two weeks.
Re: Ron Cameron
We’re not too far from the 70+ pages pages that were on this Board before accidentally deleted by the moderator. It’s amazing to think we’d otherwise be over 130 pages now. Looking at how this thread so dominates here, someone unitiated (today’s caller Nancy??), or just checking in from outside this market would immediately have to assume that this Ron (don’t call me) Cameron was a preeminent factor in Detroit sports media.
Re: Ron Cameron
If Ron took the time to become tech savy and promote his show on social media he would attract listeners. He is definately different.I think listeners enjoy a train wreck but only in small doses.
