One of these days, Ron's going to claim that 10 different Mexican restaurants have the best burritos in town.

Yeah, his comment about Ron having "a breath of knowledge about sports" floored me. :)
More of a stale bad breath than a fresh breath.

Trying to remember all the calls he had received from California, Ron forgot an important one from San Clemente.

Sounds like Ron could use unemployed Caller Mike as a manager at Scoop’s new restaurant venture, if that ever comes to life.

Mike from San Francisco might be the most out of left field call since the 2020 one from David Shepherd from CBS Sports.

I was surprised that tue WPON online audiences stretched out that far for a show

Have to agree with Ron on this one. Dickerson is terrible.

Why does Ron have so much antipathy toward Dan Dickerson?
Part of the reason is he feels he has “no guts” as Ron says for all of the broadcast crew, they don’t tell it like it is

Correct me if I am wrong here, but aren’t the broadcasters employees of the teams? Doesn’t this nimrod realize that employees that publicly badmouth their companies product, no matter what kind of business, soon find themselves unemployed. The broadcasters job is to describe what is happening in the game. It is not that hard to understand.

Ironically, Ron doesn’t have the guts to criticize bad umpiring, which occurs too often.

Broadcasters were more critical years ago. There’s a clip on YouTube where Skip Caray talks about this, and how Ted Turner thought about it. I think the more old school broadcasters had more leeway with that.
I’m not a big Dickerson guy, but Ron nitpicks him to death. He’s better than Jim Price, and certainly better than Ron’s “play by play” he would do at WDTK.

Ron’s mancrush went 3-4 with two homers last night. You know he’s going to bring that up to add to his argument he’s better than Johnny Bench. Team still lost, but hey, look at him glide!
