Ann Arbor Knife Attacks
Ann Arbor Knife Attacks
I just read last week that Ann Arbor is one of the safest cities in the country. Now, a surly, angry man has attacked at least two people with knives after they "bumped in to him". I know the area well from when I was there, Matt. And there was a lot of crime near there even 50 years ago. A friend of mine had to drive street people out with baseball bats from the apartments he managed then. It was close to where these knife attacks occurred. A Medical Student was murdered near there a few years ago. All of this happened within a few blocks of Fuller Rd.

Bond should've been denied for this dangerous thug. What on earth is wrong with these judges?!!!

I suspect that a tough on crime/criminals judge would have a hard time getting elected in Ann Arbor.MWmetalhead wrote: ↑Thu Apr 04, 2024 6:13 pmBond should've been denied for this dangerous thug. What on earth is wrong with these judges?!!!

Re: Ann Arbor Knife Attacks
The guy has to physically come up with $1,500,000 does that seem realistic to you? It’s not no bond but it might as well be.MWmetalhead wrote: ↑Thu Apr 04, 2024 6:13 pmBond should've been denied for this dangerous thug. What on earth is wrong with these judges?!!!

Re: Ann Arbor Knife Attacks
After doing more research, $1.5 million is relatively reasonable when compared against other examples I found.
There are first degree murder suspects in some southern states who were only required to post $250,000 or even only a $100,000 bond.

Between this dude and the serial peeper, A2 doesn't seem that safe any more.
They/them, non-binary and proud.
Remember that “2000 Mules” was concocted by a circus of elephants.
The right needs to stop worry about what’s between people’s legs. Instead, they should focus on what’s between their ears.
Audacity sucks.

A2 has had serial peepers off and on for years.MotorCityRadioFreak wrote: ↑Thu Apr 04, 2024 9:12 pmBetween this dude and the serial peeper, A2 doesn't seem that safe any more.

Is peeping a threat to safety?MotorCityRadioFreak wrote: ↑Thu Apr 04, 2024 9:12 pmBetween this dude and the serial peeper, A2 doesn't seem that safe any more.
Robbing and theft, assault, stabbing are all threats to your safety, but does some college kid looking in your window threaten your safety?

Re: Ann Arbor Knife Attacks
Well, peepers would certainly be a threat to a fragile segment that would liken it to those threats mentioned, seeing it as only a short step away from rape, murder or worse!TC Talks wrote: ↑Fri Apr 05, 2024 8:48 amIs peeping a threat to safety?MotorCityRadioFreak wrote: ↑Thu Apr 04, 2024 9:12 pmBetween this dude and the serial peeper, A2 doesn't seem that safe any more.

Re: Ann Arbor Knife Attacks
Ann Arbor is a strange place with different standards for behavior. A population of street people that wouldn't be tolerated in most cities in southeast Michigan. Absolutely no police presence on city streets, despite the high number of people.radiofann wrote: ↑Thu Apr 04, 2024 8:00 pmAnn Arbor went totally off the rails when they passed this ordinance

There’s a police presence. I’m down there all the time. You see cops driving around just like anywhere else.Bobbert wrote: ↑Fri Apr 05, 2024 12:37 pmAnn Arbor is a strange place with different standards for behavior. Re: Ann Arbor Knife Attacks
Let me clarify—no foot presence, even though they have a mini-station there on Maynard by the parking garage. I've seen more foot presence for UM public safety on campus.Rate This wrote: ↑Fri Apr 05, 2024 12:38 pmThere’s a police presence. I’m down there all the time.
