Hahahahahahah! I LOVE IT!
Suck it WLLZ; back to a 2.8 where you belong with your shit playlist.
Play kick ass rock and roll tunes from the 80's and 90's with a few 2000's thrown it. Thats it. Thats all you need to do. Stop with the worn out Bon Jovi and Queen and the 80% of your playlist that everyone has heard a million times.
Fuck you WLLZ and every decision maker there.

Ask not what your country can do FOR you; ask what they are about to do TO YOU!!

Well, thats not necessarily the problem. Personal tastes aside Queen does have some good songs its just that everyone has heard "Another One Bites the Dust", "Bohemian Rhapsody" etc. a million times.
Its like "Back in Black". That AC/DC song is played on, what, 5 major stations here in the city? Its a great song and a true rock and roll classic but everyone in the city has heard it a million fucking times.
This is where real rock and roll fans need WLLZ to step up and play all of those other great tunes from the 80's and 90's that dont get the love they deserve. Sure, I get you have to play some focus tested songs but man I honestly feel like whoever makes that playlist has no clue about how many great songs from that era are being forgotten.

Queen's "We Will Rock You" is the #1 musical misnomer of all time... :barf

The first thing I have to say is that I couldn't believe the top 40/CHR station WKQI was number one overall. To their credit
they not only lead the pack but gain a whole percentage point from a 7.3% share to a 8.3% share while the inferior classic
rock station WLLZ dropped a whole percentage point down to a 2.8% from a 3.8% share. Both of these stations are owned
by I Heart Media who does well with CHR (WKQI), A/C (WNIC #4 with a 6.1% share). and Urban A/C (WMXD with a 5.2% share.)
What I Heart can't and won't do in Detroit is program a good classic rock format with WLLZ that can compete with the
superior classic rocker WCSX owned by Beasley and is number two overall with a 6.5% share.
Some have said that WLLZ should go deeper into the classic rock of the 80's and 90's but even the 60's and 70's could
have some deeper cuts added. I still think that WLLZ should consider going classic hard rock/ heavy metal because of
the TV commercials that air on sports and other shows make WLLZ sound heavier than what they really are. I do agree
that overplayed hits who top 40 stations in their day played to death shouldn't be played such as those hits mentioned
by Queen, "Hotel California" by the Eagles, and especially "Taking Care of Business" by Bachman Turner Overplay. My guess
is that I Heart has one classic rock playlist that the corporation uses nationwide and that they don't readjust it for Detroit
or any other market where they have competition.
I still say that Beasley is more in touch with the Detroit rock audience not only with WCSX as a classic rocker but WRIF
as an active rocker came in number 6 with a 5.6% share. Audacy seems to do good with some other formats such as
sports (The Ticket with a 6.2% share), modern country hits (WYCD with a 5.8% share), classic hits (WOMC with a 5.4
share) and all news (WWJ with a 4.8% share). The only Cumulus station in the top 10 was number 10 hot A/C WDVD
with a 4.3% share.
