I hope the B1G is smart enough to not let NBC put games on Peacock only.
There are just too damn many OTT streaming services.
Maybe someone should come up with a service that aggregates all the programming into one package. Oh wait ... I already canceled that service. So this is my fault. Damn

Yeah, I'm going to try to resist Amazon when Thursday night NFL games move there next season as I really wouldn't need it for anything else.I hope the B1G is smart enough to not let NBC put games on Peacock only.

I think that CBS will also be interested in Big Ten rights as well since they are losing SEC rights after the 2023 season. I think that ESPN will lose The Big Ten rights just in my opinion.

Re: NBC makes a play for the Big Ten??
Won’t it probably end up on two networks, at least? Right now, Fox is primary and ESPN is secondary. Essentially Fox gets first choice of games like 7 weeks a year, and ESPN/ABC gets first choice of games 6 weeks per year. Fox gets the championship game.
It’ll probably be the same way. NBC, assuming they win primary rights, will still be supplemented by Fox or ESPN as secondary. Maybe even a third network. More content to go around for everyone, more money to come into the coffers of the Big 10.

Re: NBC makes a play for the Big Ten??
FOX owns 51% of Big Ten Network. That will play into this.

They won't. Football is one of the biggest ratings draws left. It's pretty much the best thing they could air OTA for advertising dollars, so they will.Robert Faygo wrote: ↑Thu Feb 17, 2022 11:59 am I hope the B1G is smart enough to not let NBC put games on Peacock only.

NBC needs to get the broadcasting rights to NBA games again. I miss the NBA on NBC and its legendary theme song Roundball Rock.
Fuck Putin.
Re: NBC makes a play for the Big Ten??
Roundball Rock theme is now used on Fox College Hoops.
