Hmmm,is the news drought at CBS62 about to come to an end?

Can't wait. Hope they get some real homegrown talent who are connected to the city and its culture.

WKBD CW50 need to start using a new logo. They's been using the same one since they first became the CW in 2006. I was surprised that they didn't change to a new logo when they had their 50th anniversary last decade.
Fuck Putin.

It's been my experience that all the CBS O&O's produce a sub-standard news product. Well, let me backtrack. They air the market minimal standards. I think the company's strategy is to spend just enough to get better numbers than whatever else is airing at the same time, whether it's a newscast or not. In other words, if you can get more eyeballs than say Inside Edition and keep the news op expenditures down, you'll probably be able to turn a buck on the deal.MWmetalhead wrote: ↑Wed Sep 22, 2021 12:16 pm The newscasts on WCBS and KCBS suck, and WBBM has been an also-ran for decades.

Here is my version of a throwback refresh logo for CW50
As for the CBSDETROIT NEWS , I hope they succeed with it .

Just what Detroit needs, another newscast at 6 &11. Isn't there enough news on local television in this market already? Is WKBD doing a 10 o'clock news now?

I like some of the night time shows on 62 but with the sport playoffs going on, all they are is re-runs lately.

That’s like entering the phonograph market.CircleWXYZ wrote: ↑Sun Oct 31, 2021 10:07 am
It looks like they are going to go through with CBSN Detroit. They are spending a lot of money on a newscast relaunch on CBS 62.
Donald Trump… In your guts you know he’s nuts.

CBS loves to waste money. It’s a guaranteed fail.CircleWXYZ wrote: ↑Sun Oct 31, 2021 10:07 am

What are the odds we get real investigative journalism and more hard news reporting out of this from CBS ala CBS This Morning/CBS Mornings and 60 Minutes? I'm not saying the entire newscast needs to be Steve Wilson and Scott Lewis investigative reports, but a hard news approach with some real investigative journalism would be nice.

I would bet the Lions win the Super Bowl before that happens.MrTaterSalad wrote: ↑Sun Oct 31, 2021 9:57 pm What are the odds we get real investigative journalism and more hard news reporting out of this from CBS ala CBS This Morning/CBS Mornings and 60 Minutes? Nobody wants to
A. Spend the money
B. Take the time
And
C. Lose the glad handing and connections and press passes.

CBS is spending the money in Detroit. It’s been known for months they are looking to hire journalists for this relaunch. It’s happening!!Mega Hertz wrote: ↑Sun Oct 31, 2021 11:03 pm Nobody wants to
