For quite some time, I've tried to figure out why the Biden team picked Kamala Harris as his running mate. It had to be more than just being a woman of color for there were far more appropriate choices available. Now I figured it out. She was picked to make him look like less of an idiot.
When asked if she thought that Democrats in both the house and the Senate failed to codify Roe v Wade, she replied,
"I think that, to be very honest with you, I do believe that we should have rightly believed, but we certainly believe that certain issues are just settled. Certain issues are just settled,"
Clearly were not," Costa replied.
"No, that's right," Harris said. "And that's why I do believe that we are living, sadly, in real unsettled times."
She managed to be incoherant and to contradict herself in a time span of less than 30 seconds.
She reminds me of someone who is rather unintelligent and tries to use words that make her appear so without really understanding their true meaning. Compared to her, Biden looks somewhat OK.

I disagree. I think she was picked solely because she was a woman of color. The fact that she was/is a dim-witted idiot didn't even factor into the choice. Christ, she insulted him in the debates and he (or his people) still chose her.
