It sounds like it’s a settlement to a class action lawsuit filed on behalf of people who were separated under the Trump administration family separation policies that were briefly in effect in 2018… even Trump backed off of them under intense pressure. While I disagree with giving them money it’s not correct to say any and everybody that’s illegal gets $450,000.
